Spring Break!

I would like to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and fun spring break! Here are a few things to wrap up the third quarter.

1. Report cards are coming home today! It's been an outstanding third quarter!

2. We will not have spelling the week of April 6th - due to the three day week.

3. Below you will find pictures from out field trip to the zoo. It was an unbelievable day! The weather was perfect and the kids were super troopers! Thank you to all of our parent chaperones. It wouldn't have been so successful without you!

Dr. Seuss Week

Hello 2F Families,
Next week is Dr. Seuss Week. In his honor we will be celebrating with different themed days.
They are as follows:
Monday, 2/23: Fox on Socks - Wear your crazy socks day
Wednesday, 2/25: Whoville-PJ day
Thursday, 2/26: Cat in the Hat - Wear your favorite hat day

We will be having a Read Across America - Reading day on Monday, 3/2/09. We will be reading at 1pm with the whole 2nd grade in the LMC.

Holy Cow!

As Harry Carry would say, "Holy Cow" it's been FOREVER since 2F updated their blog. Our apologies - especially mine. We literally came back from winter break and hit the ground running.
We had an amazing Open House on Wednesday night. Thank you to everyone that made it and I hope you enjoyed your time at school. I know the kids were thrilled to show off all their hard work!
We are into February and we are looking forward to an in school field trip on Tuesday with Health World and a friendship party on Friday. I can hardly wait!
I will be sending home a letter writing project for the parents tomorrow. Since February is "friendship month" AND letter writing is our 2nd grade writing focus, I thought I'd get the parents involved. Please look for the information in your child's backpack tomorrow.
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and I look forward to having 2F get back on track with blogging!

Concert

Hell0 - sorry for being so out of touch...2009 has been very busy!! We had a wonderful concert on Wednesday night. The kids looked great and their singing and bell playing was super too!!

It was great to see everyone and I look forward to seeing you at Open House on Wednesday, February 4th!
